IVF for same sex couples with donor sperm

Donor insemination

Donor insemination involves using donor sperm. The sperm can be obtained from a donor either through a sperm bank or a person you know (known donor), no matter what route you choose to take, it’s vital that the sperm you intend to use has been tested for quality and safety. In vitro fertilisation (IVF) involves removing your eggs from your ovaries and fertilising them using donor sperm in a laboratory dish. The best quality fertilised egg, known as an embryo, is then placed back in your womb. Any other good quality embryos that are left can be stored by us for future family building.
