A living uterus donor gives her uterus for the purpose of transplantation to a female recipient. Potential living donors are women between 30 and 50 years of age who have completed their child bearing and are in generally good health.
- A cadaveric or related living donor will provide the uterus for transplant.
- To lower the possibility of rejection, the uterus will be matched to the subject using a number of selection criteria.
- Women must be between the ages of forty and sixty.
- Younger than forty-year-old females who have undergone permanent sterilization, had healthy pregnancies, and have had successful pregnancies.
- Women who are in good health.
